ImageOrganizer-X, or just IMOX, is a high speed image thumbnail database. The idea behind IMOX is, in contrary to many other thumbnail browsers, not to fill you hard drive with thousands and thousands of duplicates of your images, but to keep track of where your images are stored, even on CDs, DVDs and on remote volumes, and only keep the relatively small database on your hard drive. You browse or search through you database, and when you need the image, IMOX will give it you you if it can Grab IT. If the original images is located on a CD or a remote volume, it has to be mounted to be available to IMOX and the rest of the system.
You can drag the thumbnails (which aactually drags the original image) to any drag-drop enabled application, and you can double click on any thumbnail to view the original image.
IMOX handles every single image format supported bby QuickTime?, including PDF, which will make a thumbnail of the first page of the PDF document, and in case of drag-drop, it will drag-drop the first page of the PDF as an image.
IMOX can really help you when you need to find a picture located on your hard drive, a CD or a DVD or even on a remote volume. It also provides several clever ways of browsing your thumbnails, so that you can browse and at the same time have your favorite Web design or Page layout application getting maximum screen estate.
IMOX does only handle still image media formats handled by the installed version of QuickTime?. I does not in the current shape handle movies or sounds. It does not save the original images anywhere either, it only creates thumbnails of the images. you can free download ImageOrganizer-X 2.1.1 now.
